Red Faction: Guerrilla detaliat

Nu mai era un secret faptul că al treilea joc de acţiune din seria literalmente "ground-breaking" a celor de la Volition se va intitula Red Faction: Guerilla, după dezvăluirea de săptămâna trecută, dar în rest tot nu se prea ştia nimic. Asta până când THQ a făcut ieri anunţul cel mare, clarificând unele aspecte legate de shooter-ul cunoscut odinioară drept Red Faction 3.

Cea mai frapantă schimbare e că Red Faction: Guerilla va fi un "third-person open-world action-shooter" (ok, alea-s de fapt două schimbări frapante), şi desigur că va fi lansat pe toate cele trei platforme de tonaj greu - PC, PlayStation 3 şi Xbox 360. Jocul îşi va păstra gameplay-ul distructiv caracteristic, şi chiar îi va "redefini limitele" după cum zic ei. Povestea ne va purta iar pe Marte, la 50 de ani după evenimentele din primul Red Faction (bine că nu se aminteşte nimic de Red Faction 2, şi aşa nu m-am deranjat să-l joc).

"Players will take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Throughout their fight for freedom, players will carve their own path, wreaking havoc across the vast, open-world environment of Mars, from the desolate mining outpost of Parker to the gleaming EDF capital city of Eos. Utilizing improvised weapons, explosives and re-purposed mining equipment and vehicles, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to tear through fully destructible environments in an unforgiving Martian landscape swarming with EDF forces, Red Faction resistance fighters, and the downtrodden settlers caught in the cross-fire. Red Faction: Guerrilla will also feature a robust multiplayer component, including several modes focused on destruction-based gameplay."

Pe moment, o dată tentativă de lansare e stabilită pentru anul fiscal 2009, asta însemnând că ar putea să apară oricând între aprilie 2008 şi martie 2009... în cel mai fericit caz.
