Noul studio Flagship Seattle anunţă RPG-ul Mythos

Foştii viscolieni de la Flagship Studios sunt atât de hotărâţi să ofere o experienţă multiplayer de excepţie în viitorul lor Action-RPG, Hellgate: London, încât au pus bazele unui nou studio în Seattle şi au început să lucreze la un RPG online mai simplist, ce va fi folosit pentru a testa tehnologia lor de networking. Jocul în cauză se numeşte Mythos, şi după cum poţi vedea din primul nostru screenshot, nu se apropie nici pe departe de extravaganţa grafică din Hellgate: London.

De fapt, s-ar putea să îţi aducă aminte de un alt RPG lansat anul trecut de WildTangent, numit Fate: compară doar primul screenshot din Mythos cu acest screenshot din Fate. Şi nu e deloc o coincidenţă că se aseamănă, întrucât noul studio Flagship Seattle este condus de Travis Baldree - care a lucrat anterior la WildTangent ca Lead Designer la jocul role-playing gratuit Fate. Alte lucruri nu se cunosc pe moment despre Myhos, doar că va fi distribuit digital de către Ping0 (subsidiar Flagship) în Europa şi America de Nord, în 2007.

Cât despre noul studio-satelit Flagship din Seattle, iată ce mai spune anunţul oficial:

The creation of Flagship Seattle plays an integral part in the company's development plans. (...) Flagship Seattle has a diverse history of game development. Other team members have worked on titles including Total Annihilation, Dungeon Siege and SWAT 3.

"We were very impressed with the work of Travis from when we were first shown Wild Tangent's Fate at E3 2005", said Phil Shenk, Creative Director of Mythos and founding member of Flagship Studios. "Both he and the Flagship Seattle team have an exceptional pedigree in games development. Their skills and expertise make them real assets."

"To be involved in the formation of Flagship Seattle is an honor", said Travis Baldree, Project Director of Flagship Seattle. "We are sure that Mythos will put Flagship Seattle on the map, and in turn will become an integral part of the Flagship Studios experience"
