BlackSite: Area 51 anunţat ca la carte, cu imagini şi trailer

Dezvăluit iniţial în vara anului trecut sub titlul Area 52, şi deconspirat mai pe larg luna asta în paginile revistei Game Informer, continuarea shooter-ului Area 51 are parte în sfârşit de un anunţ ca la carte, cu tot cu primele imagini oferite presei online şi un trailer "GD 2007". Poate nu e atât de incitant pe cât s-ar fi cuvenit unei astfel de producţii, dar... să vedem mai întâi ce au de spus producătorii de la Midway.

"Developed by Midway Studios - Austin, BlackSite: Area 51 is a next-generation game that will redefine the first person shooter (FPS) genre. While other FPS titles claim to feature "action-packed, highly realistic gameplay", BlackSite: Area 51 takes next-gen gaming to an all-new level integrating cutting edge technology, game design and story writing to create the ultimate entertainment experience. The player's modern-day emotions and fears are driven into a world charged with grave responsibility affecting lives hanging in the balance and eventually finding himself torn between his professional orders and his own ethical standards. In the end, only the actions of the player and his squad can shape the outcome of BlackSite: Area 51 during this potentially pivotal moment in history.

Featuring a powerful single-player campaign, along with multiple online multiplayer modes, BlackSite: Area 51 delivers vicious combat action, next generation graphics and A.I., and a plethora of powerful weapons and vehicles. Set in present day, players take the role of a decorated military veteran charged by the government to lead a squadron of "secret soldiers", each with his/her own specialty skill set, into the Rachel, Nevada area to fight off the invasion of unidentified enemy races."

Întocmai cum se ştia / bănuia deja, BlackSite: Area 51 va fi un first-person shooter destinat platformelor PC, Xbox 360 şi PlayStation 3, în care jucătorii vor măcina alieni unii mai bizari ca alţii, de dimineaţa până noaptea târziu, în vestita zonă Area 51 şi prin împrejurimile ei din deşertul Nevada.

Imaginile de care pomeneam se găsesc în galeria locală, iar trailer-ul BlackSite: Area 51 nu e nici el prea departe. Midway nu a dat în vileag vreun termen de lansare, dar n-ar fi deloc exclus să apară anul acesta.
