Supreme Commander - download demo

Ne-om fi plâns noi de dimensiunile nesimţite ale versiunilor demo din ultima vreme (şi pe bună dreptate, încă mai cred). Dar atunci când pe etichetă scrie "Supreme Commander", suntem cât se poate de dispuşi să închidem un ochi şi să luăm în primire acest demo de 1.1 GB pentru noul proiect Gas Powered Games. Pachetul e disponibil pentru download local, şi te lasă să joci o secţiune de la începutul campaniei single-player cu Cybran Nation din Supreme Commander, precum şi o hartă skirmish - numită "Finn's Revenge" - cu trei nivele de dificultate.

În fişierul readme inclus, Chris Taylor îşi întâmpină fanii cu următorul mesaj:

"Supreme Commander was more than a labor of love; it was the completion of a journey we started a long time ago and was a game that we've wanted to make for a very long time. To see the game complete is an incredible reward for us, especially because it delivers many of the goals we set for ourselves back in 2003. And now the journey is complete, and we will soon embark on another. From all of us here at GPG and the SupCom team, to all of you, we hope Supreme Commander brings you many hours of entertainment and delivers a new and exciting experience. And most of all, we hope it's everything you had hoped it would be... we worked very hard to make that happen.

Se prea poate ca dezvoltarea propriu zisă a lui Supreme Commander să fi început prin 2003, dar sunt sigur că baciu' Taylor începuse să-şi facă o idee despre el cu mult înainte de aia. Dacă e să ne aducem aminte, Chris Taylor părăsise studioul Cavedog încă din 1998, la scurt timp după lansarea expansion-ului Core Contingency pentru cel mai apreciat joc al său de până acum - Total Annihilation. Sunt curios dacă nu cumva se va schimba situaţia în curând...

După cum poate ştii, Supreme Commander a atins stadiul Gold luna trecută, iar versiunea finală ar trebui să apară în magazine în mai puţin de două săptămâni - pe 16 februarie în Europa, şi 20 februarie în America. Până atunci, să avem parte de cât mai multe speculaţii despre următorul proiect GPG!
