Tom Clancy's EndWar, noul joc Ubisoft de... strategie!

Speculaţiile cu privire la un nou joc Tom Clancy s-au tot înteţit, de când Ubisoft şi-a început campania de marketing "viral" cu tot felul de anunţuri dubioase pe paginile oficiale ale câtorva jocuri Tom Clancy, şi a deschis un website criptic rev64.com, ce direcţionează spre o adresă şi mai criptică (care, apropo, nu arată deloc ca acum câteva săptămâni). Parola de acces, în caz că te întrebi, e "s9p1z6". Numai nu întreba de unde am găsit-o: ţi-aş putea spune, dar apoi ar trebui să te omor. Ah, şi dacă nu ai chef să asculţi ce zice tipa după ce intri, iaca transcrierea:

"In 2014 the world finally realizes peace. The United States and a unified Europe aligned to launch the first ever global interlocking anti-ballistic missile system of its kind. 8.2 billion watch as the end of strategic nuclear war is affirmed. Missile sylos are emptied, economies are stabilized. The realization of ideal human coexistence seems to have been attained. But it is not to last. A mere 12 month later, news breaks of overstated recoverable oil reserves. The result is an increase in the price of natural resources that quadruples their value and cripples the industrialized world. Amid this planetary energy crisis, the Russian federation experiences a revitalization of wealth, reinvesting its global petrol earnings into technological and military advancement. Sună a scenariu promiţător de World War III pentru un viitor joc Tom Clancy's, şi chiar aia şi e. Numai că de data asta nu-l vei mai juca dintr-o perspectivă first-person sau "de-peste-umăr", întrucât noul proiect anunţat de Ubisoft va fi un joc de strategie! Se intitulează Tom Clancy's EndWar - fiind primul dintr-o nouă serie, iar momentan e anunţat pentru lansare doar pe consolele next-gen, în anul fiscal 2007 / 2008 (sau 2008 simplu, în "timp real").

Dezvoltat de Ubisoft Shanghai, Tom Clancy's EndWar a fost conceput ca o revoluţionară strategie de război, exclusiv pentru consolele next-gen (mda, canci PC, la fel ca Halo Wars cică-se). Jocul promite să depăşească limitele tehnologice actuale, aducând jucătorilor elemente de A.I., grafică, fizică şi animaţie posibile numai graţie capacităţilor noilor platforme.

Aşadar aşteptăm acum ca Ubi să sprijine toate astea cu ceva imagini sau trailer-e năucitoare, căci până una-alta doar pe vorbele lor ne putem baza.
