Piranha Bytes şi Deep Silver se (re)unesc pentru un joc non-Gothic

Colaborarea dintre Piranha Bytes şi principalul lor publisher, JoWooD, s-a sfârşit în mod tragic luna trecută, când a fost anunţat că studioul care făcuse seria de jocuri role-playing Gothic nu va mai dezvolta şi Gothic 4 (şi nici vreun add-on Gothic 3, de fapt). Totuşi, nemţii lucrează acum la un proiect complet nou, alături de noul lor partener: Deep Silver - care co-publicase Gothic 3 anterior, fiind o marcă a grupului Koch Media (la fel ca JoWooD, ca să vezi ironie).

"We came to appreciate Koch Media as a competent, reliable and strong partner during the development of Gothic 3. We look forward to continuing and extending our cooperation with them with our work on a new joint title", a spus Michael Rüve, commercial manager la Piranha Bytes. (ed. - îngroşarea ne aparţine)

Ca să fie siguri că acest "new joint title" nu e nicidecum un alt joc Gothic, Eurogamer au contactat un reprezentant Deep Silver, care a declarat:

"We aren't speaking about Gothic 4 at all, as it isn't a game that will be released by Piranha Bytes; we are speaking about a new project. It will be something that takes advantage of the know-how and knowledge of previous Piranha Bytes games. We expect to have details in roughly a month's time."
