Voltage - un joc de curse cu elemente... RTS?!

Mai rar aşa aberaţii de marketing! Dorind probabil să facă valuri cu un joc futuristic de curse, care de altfel sună cât se poate de banal, stimabilii de la Lexicon Entertainment au anunţat azi Voltage ca fiind "un joc de racing cu elemente de strategie în timp real". Ar fi într-adevăr interesant să reuşească cineva o îmbinare a acestor două genuri complet antagonice, dar mă tem că nu e cazul lui Voltage, ori cel puţin continuarea anunţului nu aduce nici un argument solid în favoarea acestei declaraţii hazardate. Mă rog, dacă nu cumva alegerea de scurtături în timpul cursei sau dozarea diferitelor tipuri de combustibil au devenit, peste noapte, "elemente RTS"...

Dar să vedem ce zic ei despre Voltage - un proiect ce pare să fie unul şi acelaşi cu Tachyon Drive, ambele fiind dezvoltate de compania cehă IBA Group:

"Races take place far in the future on the planets of the Solar system, where players compete in the fastest and most technologically advanced races, to acquire the supreme title of the Solar System's Best Racer. Players can choose from a number of vehicles powered by anti-gravity engines that run on electricity, nuclear and tachyon fuel and can jump to reach special sections of the track for a more advantageous position.

(...) The tracks feature a myriad of futuristic elements: Teleports, Electromagnetic Platforms, Nuclear and Tachyon fuel power-ups to get more of the thrill of speed. Choosing shortcuts to cut down the lengthy races, finding the best route through the turns, up hills, and traps in each course is the main strategy, but along with this comes the responsibility of battling opponents for the right to hold first place."

În afară de aceste "indubitabile" elemente RTS, Voltage se mai mândreşte cu trasee non-liniare, decorate cu tuneluri şi complexe futuristice, plasate pe Pământ, Marte, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, pe Lună şi pe Europa (luna lui Jupiter, nu continentul). Fascinant, nu-i aşa?

Wipeout.. ăă... vreau să zic Voltage, e anunţat pentru lansare în toamna lui 2008, pe PC, PlayStation 3 şi Xbox 360.
