Bioshock PC demo cât de curând, artbook de consolare

Pomeniseră ei în treacăt despre viitoarea versiune de PC a demo-ului Bioshock, cu ocazia lansării celei de Xbox 360 ieri. Dar cum reacţia fanilor la acest decalaj nu a fost tocmai favorabilă, producătorii şi-au turnat cenuşă în cap şi au transmis, cu scuzele de rigoare, că fac tot posibilul pentru ca acest demo să ne parvină cât mai devreme cu putinţă. Şi, pe cât posibil, înaintea lansării versiunii finale de săptămâna viitoare. Declaraţia lor de pe site-ul oficial sună cam aşa:

"A BioShock PC Demo IS coming. We tried as hard as humanly possible to get it out to you guys simultaneously with the 360 demo, but we needed to make sure that it was perfect - that all drivers were ready, and that the game looked great on a huge variety of computers.

Currently, the PC demo in its final stages of testing and approval. We are pushing to get it out to you as soon as possible. It will be out during the month of August, and everyone is working at full capacity to deliver it to you before the game hits store shelves on August 21st."

Drept consolare, Irrational 2K Boston ne oferă acum un artbook în format PDF - "BioShock: Breaking the Mold" - cu tot felul de schiţe şi renders de personaje şi locaţii, prezentând de asemenea evoluţia unora dintre personajele jocului; şi a logo-ului, ca fapt divers. Artbook-ul e disponibil în două variante, low-res (15 MB) şi high-res (75 MB), tot pe site-ul oficial, şi vine însoţit de următorul avertisment:

"The one thing I'd recommend is skipping over Ken's foreword until after you've played the game, as it holds some spoilers you might want to keep secret your first playthrough is complete."
