Sony anunţă detalii despre PlayStation 3 şi un nou controller

Conferinţa de presă E3 a celor de la Sony a scos în sfârşit la iveală mai multe detalii concrete despre consola lor next-gen PlayStation 3, şi despre noul controller ce va lua locul ciudatului "bumerang" prezentat anul trecut. La cum stau lucrurile acum, PS3 se va lansa pe 17 noiembrie 2006 în America şi Europa, la şase zile după debutul său japonez din 11 noiembrie. Varianta normală a consolei va avea un hard disk pre-instalat de 20 GB şi va costa $499 / €499 (ceva mai scump decât preţul din Japonia de 59.000 Yen), iar o variantă cu HDD de 60 GB va fi de asemenea disponibilă, pentru $599 / €599.

Ambele variante vor fi echipate cu un drive Blu-ray, Giga-bit Ethernet, porturi basic input/output cu suport pentru o gamă largă de display-uri, de la clasicele televizoare cu standard NTSC/PAL şi până la noile display-uri plate full HD (1080i/1080p). Ah, şi să nu uităm de controller-ul PS3 nou-nouţ, cu senzori de "scuturare manuală" din cauza cărora vor lipsi vibraţiile DualShock (care evident ar interfera cu senzorii de mişcare):
