Şi încă un joc Lord of the Rings în lucru la EA

Aidoma noului joc Pirates of the Caribbean expirat de trei ani al celor de la Bethesda, Electronic Arts anunţă că mai lucreză la încă un titlu Lord of the Rings - continuând aşadar să mulgă licenţa LotR, chiar şi la trei ani după apariţia ultimului film "Return of the King" al lui Peter Jackson. Vestea a venit direct din gura lui Steve Gray, executive producer la franciza Lord of the Rings în cadrul studioului EA Los Angeles, în timpul prezentării sale la conferinţa Hollywood and Games Summit desfăşurată săptămâna aceasta.

Aşa cum se relatează pe Next-Gen.biz, Gray a prezentat scene dintr-un viitor joc în stil Lord of the Rings, cu elemente de design amintind de The Fellowship of the Ring.

"Talking on the difficulties of developing for high-definition, next-generation systems, Gray said that the assets were sometimes interchangeable, as they were rendered at similar resolutions, with similar detail.

While he stumbled on his team's ability to live up to Tolkien's compelling storytelling, Gray suggested that their new project was "trying to do so in a less linear way."

Gray hinted that the new project was a "story construction kit"."
