The Lord of the Rings: The White Council, noul RPG EA

"'Om trăi şi-om vedea", aşa se încheia la finele lunii trecute ştirea despre ultimele maşinaţiuni role-playing ale Electronic Arts, şi într-adevăr am trăit şi-am văzut. Ca parte a ofensivei lor estivale, EA au anunţat oficial noul lor RPG numit The Lord of the Rings: The White Council - care, aşa cum era de aşteptat, nu e altul decât Project Gray Company, dezvăluit în aprilie. Totuşi, acum mai aflăm că The White Council va fi lansat şi pe PC, în afară de PlayStation 3 şi Xbox 360, spre sfârşitul lui 2007.

Detaliile concrete despre joc sunt încă firave, dar EA se laudă că jocul va urma o poveste originală, derivată din cărţile lui Toklien (acuma ori e originală, ori e derivată!), şi că jucătorii vor putea explora liber lumea Middle-earth în The White Council - ceea ce ar fi o premieră pentru serie, dacă nu ar apărea The Lord of the Rings Online mai devreme.

"Players can choose their role as a man, an elf, a dwarf, or a hobbit. Each role's destiny is to become a hero allied with the White Council, whose members include the famed characters Gandalf, Saruman, Galadriel, and Elrond.

Comunicatul EA mai scoate la iveală noul website LotR: The White Council, care include şi un link spre vechea pagină Project Gray Company, unde mai pot fi găsite câteva "jurnale video" şi alte firimituri.

Deci, încă un RPG EA?... Să sperăm că le şi iese, de data asta.
