LotR: The Rise of the Witch-king expansion pentru BfME 2

O discuţie de pe forumurile GameReplays.org ne dă de veste că versiunea pentru PC a RTS-ului LotR: The Battle for Middle-earth II urmează să primească un (prim) expansion. Un producător EA a confirmat una-două vestea, spunând că titlul oficial al expansion-ului va fi The Rise of the Witch-king, şi promiţând să revină cu mai multe detalii în cursul acestei săptămâni. Iniţial, dezvăluirea a fost făcută de Electronic Arts cu ocazia convenţiei Comic-Con, anunţul noului expansion urmând imediat după prezentarea versiunii de Xbox 360 a lui BfME 2 din cadrul evenimentului.

"Then Amir showed off a video of their BFME2 on Xbox 360. Following teh video he started to talk about a new Expansion for the PC version. It was called BFME2 The Life of the Witckh King. The story is bascially about what happens when to the WK beforethe period of the War of the ring. It shows the WK in a new armor with new buildsings and new units. There were also new powers like summoning a ice wolf that walks on 2 legs. IT was neat but nothing really special. The graphics were bascially the same."

Făcând abstracţie de ortografia neglijentă şi titlul incorect (e "The Rise of the Witch-king", nu "The Life"), se pare că cel puţin o facţiune nouă - Angmar - va fi introdusă în expansion... deşi topicul respectiv degenerează rapid într-o discuţie ipotetică despre o posibilă facţiune Hobbits. Câteva pagini mai târziu, acelaşi topic afişează şi acest post stufos ce descrie prezentarea celor de la EA, cu o secvenţă de luptă şi următoarele precizări suplimentare:

- Longer Average game length

- Improvements to both create a hero and War of the Rings mode

- Release date of Fall

Aşa deci. Un expansion LotR: The Rise of the Witch-king pentru BfME 2, planificat pentru la toamnă pe PC, cu cel puţin o facţiune nouă. Alte detalii... mai cu altă ocazie.
