End of Nations is one of the first three MMO projects announced by publisher Trion Worlds, and allegedly the world's first premium massively multiplayer real-time strategy (MMORTS) game. It's developed by Petroglyph Games (the studio founded by former Command & Conquer creators) for a 2011 release, and promises to take warfare to an unprecedented scale, bringing the RTS genre into the online world of connected gaming. The game is set in the mid-21st century, and pits two player-controlled factions against a global superpower. Players can choose to engage in solo combat or battle with - and against - thousands of other gamers across the gigantic battlefields that make up its persistent world. Gamers develop their own Commanders, build up their headquarters, and deploy a vast array of vehicles, weapons and technologies acquired through combat experience, crafting, and research.
